AUT’s WG Precinct

I stuck my head in at the new WG Precinct Building and I was amazed. Needless to say that I love it. Just imagine if we could replicate the interior of this building out onto the streets of downtown Auckland. Imagine street furniture in red and tones of grey. In greens and blue. Imagine huge multi-media screens everywhere. Imagine green walls covering hideous blank walls. Just imagine !

I love the new plaza that is taking shape, where once cars were driving people will be able to sit and wander around. Governor Fitzroy Place has been pedestrianised and thus changed the feel and look of the street.  The building itself is like a maze. It takes you on a journey of discovery and opens up onto courtyards and lanes. The colour is refreshing and the use of led screens is amazing. If you find the time make sure that you visit this lovely addition to Auckland.

Gotta say the inside is a lot better looking than the exterior.

Haven’t we used up all our fins already?
