Auckland Tramways
Wynyard Quarter PART H
The trams traversing the 1.5 kilometre Wynyard Loop are a welcome sight. Trams have been absent from the city streets for far too long and we look forward to taking a ride on them as soon as possible. We love the livery, carnation red and the Tram Shed bring back memories of days gone by. All in all we believe that this has been a wise decision and we feel that the trams add some charm to our modern cityscape.

I am speechless, is this the same Auckland ? I also prefer the heritage trams, they do add a sense of charm. Thanks for all the updates.
Shame about the $10 fare!
$10.00 per trip ? Hell that is steep
It is $10.00 for a day pass but I also think that it is too expensive. What happens if you just want one circle trip, they need to think about that.
Besides that I thoroughly enjoyed the tram ride and I look forward to doing it again, when it is cheaper.
Thanks Trainhugger, that is very expensive. Nobody intends on staying there the whole day
I don’t mind paying it for the first ride but I would expect to pay less next time.
No worries. They may be taking advantage of the situation because it is new but once the hype dies down it will hopefully get cheaper.
It is worth the cost if you haven’t been on a tram before but it isn’t sustainable at that cost. I am sure that they will revue the price once the novelty wears off.
Yes it is expensive bit I enjoyed the tram ride very much. You have to use your imagination when you travel down the Daldy Street side and wonder how gorgeous it will be once it is all complete.
Auckland did it. I thought that this will remain a pipe dream but there it is. Well done Auckland, more action and less talk.
